![]() Your Introduction to the "Information Highway" |
Welcome to the Kent County Public Library's Online Internet Tutorial. This tutorial includes information of use to both novices and accomplished Internet users. For novices, the tutorial assumes no prior knowledge of the Internet if you begin at the beginning. For advanced users, the next page includes an index of the modules, so you can pick and choose which parts of the tutorial are of interest to you. It goes from basic mouse use and connecting to the Internet through advanced search techniques, Web site evaluation, and more. Because the computers at the library run Internet Explorer on a Windows Operating System, that is the primary focus of this tutorial. Much of the tutorial is applicable to other browsers and operating systems as well. You can take this tutorial at home on your own, or if you would like personalized assistance, call the library at 410-778-3636 and speak with the Public Services Librarian. She will be happy to set up an appointment to help you with the tutorial and answer any specific questions you may have. Without an appointment, we will do our best to help you, dependent on staff and computer availability. Just ask at the circulation or reference desk. Press the "Enter" or "Return" Key on your keyboard or Click on the "NEXT" button below to begin. |
