It's that time again!
The Friends of the Library are holding a Fall "Clean Sweep" book sale.
The book sale will be held on the following days:
Saturday 10/25 10:00-4:00
Sunday 10/26 12:00-4:00 ($5 per box day! Bring a box!)
Monday 10/27 10:00-4:00
The Members Night for FOL memebers will be Friday night the 24th from 5:30-7:30pm.

Some more of our collection has shifted around as our contractors begin site work.
Adult material:
All audiovisual (DVDs, Music CDs, Audiobooks) have been moved over to the magazine section by the circulation desk.
We are in the process of moving Adult Fiction into the old Children's section, which is also where the Reference desk will be for now. There are signs on the end of each shelving unit that describe its contents.
As of now, we have no plans to move Biography or Oversize, but please do not cross the tape into the construction area -- ask a staff member to retrieve the book for you.
Children's material:
The Yellow Building has selected Easy Fiction & Nonfiction, all Ready to Read titles, selected Juvenile & Young Adult fiction, and Juvenile audiovisual. Juvenile Nonfiction & the remainder of Juvenile Fiction are still in the main library. Remaining Easy books are in storage (ask a staff member if you want a specific title).
Yes, there are computers in the Yellow Building! We have two laptops set up for children's use, please ask a staff member to get one for you. We also have an Early Literacy Station over there for younger children.

You may have noticed some changes at the Chestertown branch of the library! We are very excited that our roof and windows are being replaced with modern, efficient, non-leaky versions.
We do not plan on closing or reducing service hours; however, we will be moving around our collection areas as construction warrants.
For the time being the Children's Library & storytimes will be located in our Yellow Building, which is in the Calvert Street parking lot behind the library. The phone number there is 410-778-2157 if you wish to speak to Children's Services directly. Part of the Children's collection is in storage in our main meeting room, so please ask if you can't find anything!
Currently the Adult Non-Fiction, Reference, and Oversized sections have been moved into where the Children's Library used to be -- we apologize for the crowded stacks!

For your own safety we ask that you observe all construction signs in the building and the parking lot.
