Presenter Bio
My name is Maya Betley, and I live in Chestertown, where I've been working as a professional gardener for the past five years. I spent part of my youth living on a small-scale produce farm, where my passion for plants was inspired.
I hold an Associate's degree in Environmental Science from Chesapeake College and a Conservation Landscape Professional Certificate from the Chesapeake Bay Conservation Landscaping Council. I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science while participating in the CES Habitat Restoration Internship.
In my free time, I’m an avid forager who enjoys identifying native plants and exploring their cultural, medicinal, and taxonomic histories.
