Holiday Family Connections: Reach Out to Incarcerated Loved Ones
Holidays can be hard when family and friends can't be with you and figuring out how to stay connected with loved ones who are incarcerated can be a challenge.
If you are wanting to connect to a loved one who is incarcerated this holiday season, join KCPL for this very special event where you can:
- Have a professional photographer take a personal or family portrait
- Use backdrops to take Polaroid photos
- Make special holiday cards or postcards
- Create crafts
- Eat dinner
- Spend time with other people who understand what it's like to have a loved one incarcerated
- Receive one-on-one tech help navigating prison apps and services or schedule appointments for additional technology help
- Take home free books for kids and adults
KCPL will provide all postage and mailing materials, all we need is a correct address for the facility you would like to reach. All materials and services will be completely FREE for participants and you can join us again for sessions on December 6 and January 30.
