About the Hedgelawn Foundation
The Hedgelawn Foundation supports the arts and humanities of the Delmarva Peninsula, with a primary focus on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, including the visual and performing arts, arts education, libraries and museums, historical research and publication. The Foundation supports the natural environment, with a primary focus on the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, including efforts that promote stewardship, sustainability and protection of our natural resources. The Foundation also supports historical research and publication for the study and appreciation of the history and culture of Venice, Northeast Italy and the former Venetian Empire.

About Commissioner Ronald H. Fithian
Commissioner Fithian has served as a County Commissioner for over 25 years. He was previously employed as a waterman for the Maryland Seafood Industry and served as the Town Manager of Rock Hall for 21 years. He is a lifelong resident of Rock Hall, MD, where he and his wife Robin enjoy four children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Mr. Fithian was bestowed the title of Chesapeake Bay Ambassador by Governor Larry Hogan. Commissioner Fithian currently serves on the following: Legislative Committee, MACo, Kent County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Kent County Public Landings and Facilities Board, Kent County Social Services Advisory Board, and the Upper Shore Regional Council.
